LeagueIntel, Inc. (“LeagueIntel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the LeagueIntel platform, including the website at leagueintel.app, our mobile applications, and our SMS-based services (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you create an account, set up a team, or use our Service, we may collect:
- Account information: Name, email address, phone number, and password.
- Player profile: USTA number, NTRP rating and type code (C/S/T/A/D/E/M), home region, preferred playing positions, and team role (captain, co-captain, player).
- Demographics (optional): Age range, gender, zip code, and playing frequency. You may choose not to provide this information.
- Team information: Team name, league affiliation, schedule, roster, and venue details.
- Communications: Messages sent via SMS (availability replies, check-ins), and any correspondence you send to us.
- Payment information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full credit card number, but we receive and store a token, last four digits, card type, and billing address.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you access the Service, we automatically collect:
- Device and browser information: IP address, device type, operating system, browser type and version, screen resolution, and language preferences.
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, time spent on the Service, clicks, scrolls, and navigation paths.
- Location data: Approximate location derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location unless you opt in (e.g., for match-day check-in).

1.3 Information from Third-Party Sources
We may supplement your profile with information from:
- UTR (Universal Tennis Rating): Singles and doubles ratings, verified status, and match history associated with your UTR profile.
- ITF / World Tennis Number: WTN singles and doubles ratings, confidence level, and game zone range.
- TennisRecord: Dynamic ratings calculated from match results.
- USTA: NTRP rating, rating type (Computer, Self-Rate, Tournament), and league registration data, where available through official USTA data partnerships.
We only access third-party rating data for players who have created a LeagueIntel account or been added to a team roster by their captain, and only for the purpose of displaying accurate rating information within the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the Service: Process availability responses, build lineups, display ratings, send match notifications, and deliver venue information.
- Send transactional communications: Availability requests, confirmation texts, lineup notifications, match-day reminders, and account-related messages via SMS and email.
- Improve the Service: Analyze usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, and develop new features.
- Personalize your experience: Recommend lineup combinations, highlight partner chemistry, and surface relevant analytics.
- Aggregate analytics and insights: Generate anonymized, aggregated statistics about league play, participation trends, and match outcomes. Aggregated data does not identify you individually.
- Comply with legal obligations: Respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect rights and safety.
3. How We Share Your Information
3.1 Within the Service
- Team captains can see your name, phone number, NTRP/UTR/WTN ratings, availability status, and match history for teams you belong to.
- Teammates can see your name, NTRP rating, and availability status for shared teams. Teammates cannot see your phone number, email, or detailed rating history unless you opt in.
3.2 Third-Party Service Providers
We share information with vendors who help us operate the Service:
- Twilio: SMS delivery (phone number, message content). Twilio Privacy.
- Stripe: Payment processing (billing details, card tokens). Stripe Privacy.
- Vercel / AWS: Cloud hosting and infrastructure.
- PostHog / Mixpanel: Product analytics (usage data, anonymized events).
We require all service providers to process your data only as instructed by us and to maintain appropriate security measures.
3.3 Aggregated and De-identified Data
We may share aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. This includes league participation statistics, match outcome trends, regional playing patterns, and demographic summaries. This data may be shared with league organizers, sponsors, or partners for purposes such as league improvement, event planning, and community development.
3.4 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
3.5 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will provide notice before your personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
3.6 What We Do Not Do
We do not sell your personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:
- Account data: Retained while your account is active, plus 365 days after deletion request.
- SMS messages: Content of SMS messages is retained for 90 days for delivery confirmation and dispute resolution, then permanently deleted. Metadata (timestamps, status) is retained for the season.
- Rating history: Retained for the duration of your account to enable trend analysis.
- Usage analytics: Retained in identifiable form for 12 months, then aggregated and anonymized.
- Payment records: Retained as required by tax and financial regulations (typically 7 years).
5. Your Privacy Rights
5.1 All Users
Regardless of where you live, you can:
- Access your personal information through your account settings.
- Correct inaccurate data in your profile at any time.
- Delete your account by contacting us at privacy@leagueintel.app. Deletion will be completed within 30 days.
- Opt out of SMS by replying STOP to any LeagueIntel text message.
- Opt out of marketing emails by clicking “unsubscribe” in any marketing email.
- Export your data in a machine-readable format by contacting us.
5.2 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
Right to Know
You have the right to request that we disclose what personal information we have collected about you in the prior 12 months, including: the categories of personal information collected, the sources of that information, the business or commercial purpose for collecting it, the categories of third parties with whom we share it, and the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
Right to Delete
You have the right to request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., completing a transaction, detecting security incidents, complying with legal obligations).
Right to Correct
You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you.
Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. As such, there is no need to opt out, but we honor any Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals your browser sends as a valid opt-out request.
Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information
The only “sensitive personal information” we collect under CPRA is your precise geolocation (if you opt in for match-day check-in). You can disable location sharing at any time through your device settings or account preferences.
Right to Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. We will not deny you the Service, charge different prices, or provide a different level of quality.

How to Exercise Your Rights
To make a CCPA/CPRA request:
- Email us at privacy@leagueintel.app with the subject line “CCPA Request.”
- Include your full name and the email or phone number associated with your account.
- Specify which right you wish to exercise.
We will verify your identity before processing your request. We will respond within 45 days (or up to 90 days with notice if additional time is needed). You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, provided the agent has your written authorization and we can verify your identity.
5.3 Other State Privacy Laws
Residents of Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights. Please contact us at privacy@leagueintel.app to exercise your rights under applicable state law.
6. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will promptly delete that information. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@leagueintel.app.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information. For details on our security practices, see our Data Security page. While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
8. International Data Transfers
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
9. Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., UTR, USTA, tennis club sites). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new “Effective Date,” and if changes are significant, by sending you an email or in-app notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

12. Annual Privacy Metrics
As required by the CCPA, we will publish annual metrics regarding consumer requests received in the prior calendar year, including the number of requests to know, delete, and opt out, and our median response times. These metrics will be published here by July 1 of each year for the prior calendar year.
